Hello! If you were looking for Jerry's webpage, you found it.
I'm a mathematician working as a postdoc in the Knowledge Lab at the University of Chicago.
I received my Ph.D. in mathematics from UCLA. Before this, I was at UC Santa Barbara, where I was first a mathematics student through the College of Creative Studies and then a masters student in the Department of Mathematics.
Once in a while*, I write about my Christian faith† on my WordPress.

If I were a Springer-Verlag Graduate Text in Mathematics, I would be William S. Massey's A Basic Course in Algebraic Topology . I am intended to serve as a textbook for a course in algebraic topology at the beginning graduate level. The main topics covered are the classification of compact 2-manifolds, the fundamental group, covering spaces, singular homology theory, and singular cohomology theory. These topics are developed systematically, avoiding all unnecessary definitions, terminology, and technical machinery. Wherever possible, the geometric motivation behind the various concepts is emphasized. Which Springer GTM would you be? The Springer GTM Test |
* Due to the fact that I usually have a lot of other things to do, it's quite difficult for me to find time to write regularly. As such, new writings will come out on a sporadic and infrequent basis. ↩
† As a Christian, my life is built upon faith in Jesus Christ, whose love for me leads and motivates me to show the same love to others. Practically speaking, while I'm certainly still growing in this, I seek to treat everyone with compassion, empathy, and dignity, without exception. If you're reading this and would like to talk to me about my faith, feel free to reach out; I'm always happy to talk about Jesus! However, if your intention is to get into some sort of debate with me, I unfortunately am not interested. ↩
